NicaVerde - Reforestation and sustainable cacao cultivation

The tree planting project in Nicaragua where our FLOW CACAO is grown is part of the NicaVerde initiative, which is committed to sustainable and ecological agriculture in Nicaragua. Especially in recent decades, deforestation and non sustainable farming methods have put a heavy strain on the land, unfortunately leading to erosion, loss of biodiversity, and poor agricultural yields.

The goal of NicaVerde is to reverse this trend and to restore nature through reforestation and sustainable farming methods while at the same time providing farmers with a livelihood. In cooperation with local communities, NicaVerde not only plants trees but also teaches knowledge about sustainable cultivation and agroforestry practices. This means that cacao is grown in mixed cultures that not only improve the soil but also promote biodiversity.

Through this way of cultivation, the land is regenerated, and at the same time the cacao and tree planting projects create long term sources of income for farmers in Nicaragua. When you purchase our FLOW CACAO, you support this mission directly, because 5 percent of our income from this cacao goes additionally toward the NicaVerde project.
