Our Story

"The universe doesn’t roll dice. And if it seems like it does, let go of all expectations and allow yourself to fall."

We – Leni & Felix – met for the first time over a cup of cacao. There was a brief spark between us, then we paused, released the idea of how things “should be,” and listened to what wanted to unfold. The answer was clear – to walk this path together, to share cacao, and to open spaces of the heart. Now, more about us…

Leni Glapa

Leni has always felt different. That this “difference” is her greatest gift, she only realizes once cacao finds her.

After completing her degree in business administration, she works for two years in an event and conference agency but soon realizes that a 9-to-5 job doesn’t fulfill her. She quits and goes to a ten-day Vipassana meditation retreat. Afterwards, she organizes events at the SPIRIT BERLIN event center, where she first encounters the cacao plant in 2015.

What begins with skepticism turns into a deeply felt, heart-opening experience—accompanied by tears and healing. For two years, she works with cacao on her own healing. Several journeys to Hawaii deepen her knowledge and her work with cacao.

Leni begins offering her own cacao rituals to share the effects with others. And in one of those rituals, Felix eventually sits down…

Felix Eidner

Mindfulness and meditation play an important role in Felix’s life from an early age. At fifteen, he becomes a vegetarian, gets involved with Greenpeace, and later decides to study environmental management.

This is followed by long backpacking journeys through India, the Philippines, Venezuela, Kenya, and many other places, as well as years of work in the field of environmental protection.

Along the way, he deepens his Vipassana meditation practice and trains as a meditation instructor for children, to share his experience with younger generations.

In 2016, he takes part in his first cacao ritual at SPIRIT BERLIN, where Leni hands him a cup of cacao. That very first cup of cacao steers his life in a new direction.

The Birth of Cacaoloves.me

At first, we focused on events and rituals, because we both love holding spaces where people can let go and simply be.

But even then, we already knew that we wanted to move toward offering ritual cacao as well – especially since, at that time, it wasn’t easy to find ceremonial cacao at all. We began asking ourselves where the most original and best cacao could be found. Nine months later, we would discover it in Peru.

In 2019, we founded Cacaoloves.me, and what started as “just the two of us” has since grown into a whole team. From our first small shipments have now come more than 70,000 heart packages that have found their way to you. And from our first joint events in 2017 in Berlin emerged a HEART Tour across Germany.

And because so many people asked us for a book — and there wasn’t one yet — we wrote “Ritual Cacao”. In it, we share our story in more detail, but above all, we pass on our knowledge, rituals, and experiences around this wonderful plant.
